Hello! I’m Kykr Thomas, a New Orleans–based photographer with more than 15 years of experience behind the lens. Photography has long been my artistic outlet—a way to capture the authenticity, character, and emotion found in everyday moments.

My work blends street, travel, and analog photography with a distinctly moody, sometimes dystopian aesthetic. I’m drawn to quiet streets, unguarded moments, unusual light, atmospheric spaces, and scenes that carry a sense of mystery or isolation. Whether photographing close to home or somewhere unfamiliar, I look for moments that feel cinematic yet remain grounded in the reality of the place.

New Orleans, with its rich culture, layered history, distinctive characters, and endless visual stories, continues to be a source of inspiration. At the same time, travel allows me to explore how those same themes of light, emotion, solitude, and human connection take on different forms around the world.

For me, photography is a continuous exploration of the world and the stories unfolding within it. My goal is simple: to capture a moment in time that speaks beyond words—something authentic, atmospheric, and timeless!

For photography projects, collaborations, print inquiries, or just to connect, I’d be happy to hear from you.
